There are many musical muses who have inspired n]me to think visually, whether through their words or their music. The Beatles, Beach Boys, Kinks, XTC, Randy Newman, Billie Holiday, Oscar Petersen, Joni Mitchell, Mahler, Shostakovich, Regina Spektor, Aimee Mann, Wendy Carlos, Stevie Wonder, Duane Eddy, Hendrix, The Ventures, Kevin Gilbert, and Roy Wood are among the many who have lived in my heart and mind and continue to inspire the soul to create. “Horse Moon” was inspired by the late, great Kevin Gilbert–a California composer and instrumentalist of considerable talent.
